The hotel was more than we expected as far as the facilities were concerned. The poolside noise and cleanliness of parts of the hotel were less than desirable. The location was more private and distance from the main part of the boardwalk.
Great oceanfront location at the northern (quiet) end of the beach. Our room on the 9th floor had an updated bathroom and a nice, large flatscreen television. Towels in the bathroom were good quality. The room was good size with a lovely view onto the beach.
The hotel decor is very dated. Carpets in the elevator, hallways, dining room should have been replaced several years ago. The linens on the bed were a bit coarse and scratchy and the pillows weren't too good. The decor in the dining room would have to upgraded just to get to dreary. Really a depressing room, we had one breakfast there and the price was reasonable and the buffet was okay, but the dark blue color scheme, the heavy vinyl table cloths, the fluorescent ceiling lights and the lack of a view made it feel like you were in an institutional setting. I've been in nursing room dining halls that were cheerier!
Band at pool. Pool Bar. Jucuzzi in bathroom. Xtra sundries in bathroom Microwave and fridge in room Lots of activiites and ammenities onsite
good food, and location, great waitress
beds were very uncomfortable, room not as clean as expected, check in staff a little abrupt,
Great location with a more secluded beach away from the business of the board walk. Very nice staff; views from rooms great even if you end up with an oceanview instead of an oceanfront room. Basketball court on premises. Bathrooms real nice and neat.
except for carpets in lobby, elevators and hallways needing to be changed, was satisfied with every other aspect of hotel
Was really nice the rooms were amazing. Great view of the ocean and the staff was really friendly and nice
Was well maintained and was more then I expected it to be. Def would stay there again
Room was not clean and the blankets had holes and burn spots on them. The sheet did not fit around the mattress.
We were the only ones staying at this huge hotel, it was kinda spooky.
I liked the fact that we we Oceanview, and we were not too close to the chaos of the boardwalk
The cost was the same as if we were on the boardwalk which was puzzling. The room (ocean view) was smaller then other hotels I stayed at on the oceanfront but the cost was higher then oceanfront elsewhere.
For a beach hotel it is great. It is still a little rough around the edges as almost all beach hotels tend to be. The room was clean and the staff were nice. The live music during the days at the pool is very nice.
They hosted a corporate party which ran until midnight with live music outside of the hotel near the beach front rooms. The kept the music at full volume until midnight. I know there were many complaints including ours. You may want to check in advance if any such events are being planned before your stay.
the fact that it was ocean side / beach front.
The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors fighting and hitting each other. We had to call the front desk 3x and complain since this went on till 3am and they finally told them to stop or leave the hotel and the women tried to jump over to our balcany since the guy locked her out of the room. Heard bad language all day and night which was not nice since we were spending family time and we did not need to experience that. We even checked out that very night instead of 11am the next morning.
I think the hotel needs a face lift, tv outdated, for stay in hotel for 300.00 a night, it should have been very plush, and also let customers know the difference between oceanfront and oceanview, I should have had oceanfront, that was my purpose of coming to beach for oceanfront. Staff was very nice, no need to charge for parking in parking lot should be included in the price, that was very rediciulous.
